“My Websites – Add/Edit/Delete” Publishers can add any amount of websites to their account. Those added websites can also be edited and deleted from this page. A website can’t be deleted if that websites has a live ad running. If the admins of the website have set this particular option, the publisher may have to wait for any new website added to be approved by the admins. When a publisher adds a website, certain stats such as google pagerank, alexa ranking and a screenshot of the website is automatically collected. Every time the publisher edits their website, these stats will be updated. When adding a new website, the publisher will be presented with several options such as, • Product Group • Website Tags • Would You Like To Show Targeted Ad Sales On Your Website? • Does Your Website Have Any Adult Content? • What Language Is Your Website? • Where Will The Ads Appear On Your Website? • Do You Have Any Ad Restrictions? • From Which Geographic Locations Do Most Of Your Websites Users Come From? All of these options help advertiser determine if your website is the right kind of website to advertise on. Also, if an advertiser chooses to create a “Targeted Ad Campaign”, these options will help filter out websites which aren’t suitable for that advertisers ad campaign. One of the options when adding a new website is, “Would You Like To Show Targeted Ad Sales On Your Website?” where you will see two options, Yes and No, and also a data input box with the text, “Minimum Click Through Rate For Potential Targeted Advertisers” above it. Publisher are able to show “Targeted Ads” on their website if they haven’t sold any set rate ads direct to advertisers. If the publisher chooses “Yes” for this option and then enters an amount such as $0.05, this means, for every “Targeted Ad” that appears on their website and is then clicked, they will be paid $0.05, minus the admins fee, which could be any percentage set by the admin of the website. If targeted ads are being shown, and then the publisher sells a set rate ad direct to an advertiser, the set rate ad always has priority over targeted ads and will always show on the publishers website before targeted ads. “Set Ad Rates and Settings” Once a publisher has added at least one website to their account, they can then start adding ad products to their account. “Ad Products” are set rate ads, such as a “1 Day Text Ad” priced at $10.00 Publishers can add, Set Rate Ads, Pay Per Click ads and Pay Per Impression Ads. All ad products can also be deleted and edited from this page. When adding Pay Per Click ads and Pay Per Impression ads, there is a “Minimum Spend” option. This means, when an advertiser buys this ad product, they must spend a minimum amount, for example, you may set the “Minimum Spend” to $10.00, so the advertiser must buy at least $10.00 worth of clicks or impressions. When adding set rate ads, such as a “1 Day Text Ad” priced at $10.00, there is an option, which says, “Are You Willing to Let Potential Advertisers Make Offers For This Ad Product?” If you set “yes” for this, this means advertisers can make an offer direct to the publisher. For example if the publisher creates a “1 Day Text Ad” priced at $10.00, a potential advertiser could offer $5.00 for this ad product, and then the publisher can then choose to either reject or accept that offer. A publishers website wont be visible on the “Browse Ads” page, until they have added at least 1 ad product. “Live Ad Stats” Publishers can keep tracks of the stats for all the ads that are currently running on their websites. Each website that the publisher has added to their account has its own separate page. When an ad ends, it is removed from this page. “Get Ad Code For Your Website” The publisher must add at least 1 ad product before the ad code becomes available for the publisher to copy and paste onto their website. Once the ad code becomes available, the publisher will be able to select which ad code they want from the drop down menu. All the different ad formats have their own unique ad code. For example, a 468x60 Image ad will have a different ad code to a 125x125 Image ad. Once the publisher is on the actual ad code page, they will see a number of different settings. The first being, “Default Ad” This option allows the publisher to show something in their ad space before they have sold any ads. This setting has three options, • Blank White Space – This just leaves the ad space totally empty. • Advertise On This Site – You will just see the text “Advertise On This Site” • Custom HTML Code – You can enter any kind of code here, such as Google adsense code, or HTML pointing to another image. Text Ad Settings: Number of ads to show at any one time: This option allows the publisher to show more than one text ad at once in that one ad space. Text Characters In Headline: This option sets the maximum amount of characters to be shown in the headline of the ad. Text Characters In Description: This option sets the maximum amount of characters to be shown in the main body of the ad. Other options are then available which allow you to customize the look and feel of the ad, such as, fonts, font size, font color, borders and backgrounds. A live preview will update to show you what the ads look like. Once the settings have been chosen, the “Save Settings” button must be pressed for the ad code to be viewable, which you can then copy and paste onto the publishers website. Please Note: The ad code will only work on the domain name set by that publisher in their account. For example, if they add www.google.com to their account, and then copy and paste the ad code onto www.yahoo.com, the ad code will not work. “Further Promotion” A publisher can choose to promote one of their websites by paying to have it displayed on the homepage of the main site. The publisher can choose to have their website featured for, 1,2 or 3 months. The publisher must enter the full URL to their logo, so that when the admins add that website to their homepage, they have an image of the websites logo to upload.
